Montefarm announced that the medicine "zometa" was delivered to them and that it was delivered to the Institute of Oncology of the Clinical Center, after the usual procedure of receiving and controlling the contracted quantities.
"Vijesti" announced two weeks ago that the Institute of Oncology ran out of that drug, intended for patients with cancer that has spread to the bones, and that is why the patients were forced to buy it.
"As we explained earlier, the shortage of the mentioned drug has existed in the region since the second quarter of the current year, as well as in the EU countries. As for Montenegro, ZOMETA was regularly distributed throughout the year until mid-October, when due to a delay in delivery by the manufacturer there was a momentary stoppage in the supply of the mentioned drug to the market," Montefarm announced.
