Pljevljak Emir Lojo, who saved Ilhan Tursumović, a neuropsychiatrist at the Health Center in Pljevlja, from certain death when he was attacked with a knife by a fellow citizen of DV at his workplace a month ago after he refused to issue him a medical certificate for carrying weapons, will be employed at the Health Center in Pljevlja in the coming days.
This was confirmed by the President of the Pljevlja Municipality, Dario Vraneš, who today spoke with the Minister of Health, Vojislav Šimun, during his visit to Pljevlja.
Vraneš also said that the director of the Health Center in Pljevlja, Branka Stanković, will have an interview with Loja tomorrow.
A few days after the incident, Vraneš received Loj in his cabinet and expressed deep respect and gratitude for his courage and determination. Then he announced that the issue of Emir's employment would be resolved.
On October 24, Lojo was waiting with other patients for his turn to be examined in a neighboring office because he needed a medical certificate.
He intended to apply for a driver's job at the Old People's Home in Pljevlje, because he has been unemployed for years, even though he is a professional economist.
Without thinking about the consequences, Lojo ran into the doctor's office where he found doctor Tursumović covered in blood and a man holding a knife to his throat.
As he tried to snatch the knife from the attacker's hand, he could have been killed because the attacker offered strong resistance.
When he managed to snatch the knife from the attacker, he knocked him onto the hospital bed, and two other guys came to his aid.
