Children from the kindergarten "Lastavica" in Nikšić, together with their teachers and parents, participated in a humanitarian action to collect aid for the youngest beneficiaries of the Volunteers of Montenegro Foundation. Toys, clothing and sweets were collected, which will be donated to children and families in a state of social need.

"This action is special because it enabled the little ones to learn in a practical way about the importance of solidarity and care for others. We are proud that the children decided to distribute toys, clothing and sweets to their peers who unfortunately do not have the same conditions as them," said Ana Radonjić from Foundation Volunteers of Montenegro.

The donation will be distributed through the programs of the Foundation, which has been working for years to improve the quality of life of socially disadvantaged families and individuals, with an emphasis on children.

"In addition to the donation itself, we went through an educational workshop with the youngest about the importance of volunteerism and we tried to theoretically explain to them that they too have become little volunteers through this act of donating. International Volunteer Day is approaching, which is celebrated on December 5, and we have New Year's holidays, and therefore we believe that these and similar donations will greatly contribute to children living in poverty, so that they too feel the spark of joy and the warmth of togetherness, because giving is the most beautiful way to share happiness," said Radonjić.

The Foundation thanked the children, their families and the kindergarten, and invited all citizens who are able to participate in such and similar actions, in order to jointly make life easier for individuals and families who are struggling with today's biggest problem - poverty.

"We are very grateful to all the actors who showed empathy in this way, and we are especially happy that the youngest members of our community showed humanity and camaraderie. This action is another example of how joint effort can bring a smile to the faces of those who need help the most. I would like all citizens who are able to help as much as they can and in what they can, and they can do it through our website www.volontericrnegore.me, through the giro account of the Foundation at number: 520 – 9194 – 41, or by contacting via social networks or the Foundation's phone number, so that volunteers can collect and distribute the donation," concluded Radonjić.
