The Mayor of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, and the Secretary of the Secretariat for Finance and Economic Development of the Capital Savo Borozan are visiting Berlin.
The visit was organized on the initiative of a Montenegrin family from Berlin, which in the previous period donated significant funds for vulnerable households from Cetinje and Montenegro, the Capital announced.
During the visit, the delegation of that local government visited the Berlin State Parliament and met with the deputy leader of the CDU parliamentary group Deni Freimark. "The topic of the conversation was the support of Germany and the CDU for the European integration of Montenegro, which is of great importance for the progress of our country in this process".
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of reform processes and the importance of continuity in fulfilling obligations on the European path, while highlighting priorities such as the rule of law, economic sustainability and strengthening of institutions.
"This visit represents an important step in our efforts to establish stronger ties with European partners and ensure new opportunities for the development of our city and country. We are grateful to the Montenegrin family from Berlin for their initiative and support," said Đurašković.
The meeting was also an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas, with the aim of improving local administration, strengthening cooperation and creating opportunities for joint projects.
