The medical institution said that the strips were delivered in the late afternoon, by organizing a reception outside of working hours.
"The strips are intended for children and adult patients with diabetes who exercise their right to free prescription collection in our pharmacies. For this reason, we hereby inform, primarily parents of diabetic children, as well as adult patients, that we have organized extraordinary deliveries today and during the weekend and that within 24 hours we will deliver the strips to our pharmacies in all municipalities, namely: tonight the central region (Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Nikšić), tomorrow during the day northern and southern region," the announcement states.
Montefarma said that in order to deliver and receive in the shortest possible time, the pharmacies in the central region, except for the usual on-call pharmacies, will work tonight until the deliveries are delivered to them.
"As we have already informed the public, in the previous period, problems arose in the transport from the manufacturer to Montenegro, causing a short-term interruption of the supply of the entire market in our country. We use the opportunity to especially apologize to our children and their parents, due to the interruption in the supply chain "However, these are circumstances that Montefarm could not influence," the announcement concludes.
