President of the Municipal Assembly (SO) Vasilije Bulatović requested from the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property the urgent intervention of the construction inspection and the prohibition of construction on cadastral plot 317/3 in the center of Kolašin. On that plot, the construction of a hotel, according to the condo business model, whose investor is "Bjelasica invest", is advanced.
In a letter to the Ministry, Bulatović wrote that he is asking for a check of the complete documentation that accompanied the construction application, a check of the completed state, but also for a decision to ban construction until that documentation is checked.
"I am writing to you with the aim of reporting to the construction inspection for the construction of a building on cadastral plot 317/3 KO Kolašin, which concerns the verification of the complete documentation that accompanied the construction report and the verification of the completed state. The request to issue a decision banning construction pending verification of the same. The construction of the staircase, which is in progress, significantly disrupts the traffic infrastructure in the center of the city, and the dimensions of the building are not in accordance with the facilities in the surroundings and with the ambiance that the citizens of Kolašin want", wrote the president of the SO to the Ministry.
As Bulatović told "News", a similar letter was sent to the Ministry by the President of the Municipality Petko Bakić. The reaction of the Ministry, he explained, will also depend on the scheduling of the competent parliamentary committee.
"Vijesti" has written several times, during the past two years, about the way in which the condo hotel is being built in the extension of Milutin Lakićević Street and several other buildings in the city center. In the middle of 2022, due to the construction of that facility, several meters of sidewalk were fenced off and excavated. This was done by investors in several other streets, however, after newspaper articles and the reaction of citizens, the pedestrian paths were freed, and the fences of the construction site were moved a few meters. This was not done in the case of the hotel, the construction of which has now upset the local government.
A condo hotel should have a basement, ground floor, three floors and an attic. Due to its dimensions and height, it stands out significantly from the surrounding buildings in that part of Kolašin. Since the beginning of construction, the use of the pedestrian crossing in that street has been disabled.
The plot on which the building is being built, according to the Real Estate Administration, has an area of 542 square meters and is owned by the investor. The plot also includes part of the sidewalk, which does not exist now.
The road in which it is being built is one-way, so part of the street is used as a parking lot, and it also houses the first charging station for electric cars in Kolasin.
