The first lady of Montenegro is a symbol of unity, solidarity, togetherness and humanity in the community Milena Milatović yesterday described the sixteenth International Humanitarian Diplomatic Bazaar.
"The diplomatic bazaar became an opportunity to send a message of peace, empathy and understanding," she said at the opening of the bazaar organized in cooperation with the International Women's Club.
Milatović pointed out that the bazaar is an opportunity not to forget about those who are in dire need of help.
"In times when we gather with families and friends, we must not forget about those who need our help the most...", emphasized Milatović.
According to her, the funds collected from the bazaar will be invested in the improvement of education, as well as the protection of women in Montenegro.
"Education is the key to the development of every community and society... By maintaining educational institutions, we invest in the future of our country. At the same time, protecting women from violence is a matter of collective responsibility... That is why it is extremely important to support institutions that will deal with the protection of women", said the first lady.
Milatović also believes that "the dedicated work of the International Women's Club inspires all of us".
President of the International Women's Club Bilge Kalkavan she said that she was honored to have opened the Diplomatic Bazaar.
"This event not only celebrates our culture, but unites us in our commitment to empowering Montenegro," said Kalkavan.
She said that the International Women's Club is expanding its support to several elementary schools, "ensuring that children receive quality education."
"We will also support the Komanski most institution, providing care and opportunity to those who need it," Kalkavan said, adding that she will work to empower women living in the north of Montenegro.
Traditionally, "Vijesti" teams also had their stand at the bazaar.
Visitors, as well as representatives of embassies and several associations and organizations, confirmed that holding this event is always attractive.
Olena Vasilevska, a citizen of Ukraine, told "Vijesti" that she really liked the bazaar, and that she was looking forward to the next one.
"Everything is great, and it is a truly exceptional organization. There are many visitors. You can find many things here, which cannot be bought in other stores. The atmosphere is also great," said Vasilevska.
Representative of the European House Marina Ćupić she said that they were satisfied and that "it seems to them that previously there was not such a large turnout of citizens and participants as this year".
"The delegation of the European Union in Montenegro really made an effort this year. We prepared homemade cakes, handmade by colleagues. This year, it is very clear that humane action is at work," said Ćupić.
Representative of the Women's Club of the Parliament of Montenegro, Milja Mirkovic she said that they exhibited domestic and "authentic Montenegrin products".
"In addition, we also have handicrafts that are the work of our employees in the Assembly. We also have gold embroidery, artwork, it's quite varied. We are very satisfied with the attendance," said Mirković.
