Valentina Pavličić is a brave woman who has proven her expertise in the previous period and who undoubtedly has the strength to bring the long-awaited functionality of the judicial branch of government, announced the Citizens' Movement (GP) URA.
That party congratulated the election of the President of the Supreme Court of Montenegro.
"The judicial branch of government is the only one that has not been reformed in the previous period, as we have pointed out many times before. This election can be one of the most important moments for better functionality, greater efficiency and impartiality of institutions in the field of the rule of law in Montenegro. Only such a judiciary can be a guarantor of justice and equality of all citizens before the law," the announcement states.
They said that Pavličić has an opportunity to restore the public's trust in judicial institutions, which, they point out, is essential for the democratic development of our country and its European path.
"Unfortunately, we have witnessed that in previous years the judiciary was burdened by politicization, slow processes and lack of responsibility, which we have pointed out many times over the years. Such practice must be a thing of the past. We expect that under the new leadership, justice will finally function, and the courts will become a pillar of independence , fairness and professionalism," the announcement concludes.
