Aljošević left KCCG after almost three months: Physical therapy and a long road to full recovery follow

Asmira Aljošević, a Baran woman who gave birth in the Bar hospital on September 10 and spent almost three months in the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), was discharged today and will continue her recovery at home.

According to her family members, there will be physical therapy and a long road to full recovery.

After profuse bleeding after giving birth, which was at noon, around 19:XNUMX p.m. in the evening, Aljošević was urgently transferred to KCCG, where she was operated on and her ovaries and uterus were removed.

Aljošević is recovering and feeling better, her mother Bukurija Lukolić told "Vijesti".

According to her, Aljošević endured and survived what not everyone could, she was strong, persistent and fought for herself and her family.

"She just can't wait to see the baby," said Lukolić and added that the continuation of the treatment will be at home, and that KCCG has made an agreement with the Bar Health Center, where a physiotherapist will come to work with her daughter.

Media attention, protests and citizen appeals were of great importance, she said, to give Asmira the care she needs.

Lukolić said that it is their family's wish that this kind of situation never happens again to any woman and family, and that women in labor deserve professional treatment.

She thanked the KCCG staff, especially Dr. Alma Kalač, whom she claims saved her daughter's life with her quick and human reaction.

The case of Asmira Aljošević was in the focus of the public after the death of the mother from Ulcinj, Drita Tafa.

Earlier, Lukolić told "Vijesta" that in the hospital in Bar, after giving birth, they told them that Asmira did not have enough platelets, so she was moved to gynecology for a few more hours, after which she had profuse bleeding.

Around 11 o'clock in the evening, she was operated on at KCCG, claims her mother, and her family came to see her in the morning, and then they were told that Aljošević was in a critical condition, that her life was in danger and that none of her organs were working. .

KCCG Director Aleksandar Radović commented on the Aljošević case at a press conference on Tafa's death and said that she had increased bleeding and that KCCG gynecologists immediately admitted her, and that it was not surgical bleeding, but coagulopathy.

"A reintervention was performed and the ovaries were removed. The patient received a very large number of blood transfusions, kidney and lung function was impaired, but now she is in the recovery phase and we are weaning her from the breathing machine," Radović concluded at the time.
