By the end of the week, bus transportation to Podgorica Airport will be established

The bus line that will connect Golubovci Airport with Podgorica will be established by the end of the week.

This was announced by the Ministry of Transport.

"The problem that has existed since 2015, when the public transport line that connected the airport and the capital city was canceled, also awaited Minister Maja Vukićević, who, immediately after taking office, together with her colleagues from the road transport sector, took all the necessary steps to solve this problem resolved in accordance with the law. The Ministry of Transport, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce, made it possible to establish a new bus connection with the Golubovci Airport, after making changes to the Daljinar and conducting a public call for interested carriers the buses will leave by the end of this week, providing citizens and tourists with a direct connection between the airport, Podgorica and the Municipality of Zeta," the announcement states.

They also point out that the new line includes a timetable that connects the south of Montenegro with the capital - from Ulcinj to Podgorica.

This means that citizens and tourists coming from this region will have easier access to key transport hubs, which further improves mobility in the country.

"We believe that this service will be of great importance for our citizens, but also for the many tourists who visit Montenegro. With this step, we continue to work on improving public transport and the availability of key destinations in the country," said the Ministry.

The airports of Montenegro will, it is added, equip the bus stop in accordance with the highest European standards, with modern infrastructure and equipment that will enable comfortable waiting and efficient service for all passengers.
