Inclusion is not only a right, but also an obligation for all of us, said the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, on the occasion of December 3 - the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
"We must not allow obstacles to remain a part of everyday life - whether they are physical, social or institutional. Decision-makers, together with all social actors, have the responsibility to create an environment in which the rights of persons with disabilities are not only protected, but also fully realized" , wrote Milatović on Iks.
It is necessary, he says, to provide all citizens with equal opportunities for quality education, dignified employment, accessibility of public spaces and services, adequate health care and participation in cultural, sports, social and political life.
"Inclusion is not just a goal - it is a path towards a society where we respect each other, where solidarity and equality build the foundations of common progress. Every step we take towards it makes a difference. Today and every day, together, we make Montenegro a place where everyone has an opportunity for a dignified life," said Milatović.
