Bjelopoljac Milika Furtula started a hunger strike yesterday in front of the building of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bijelo Polje due to, as he stated, covering up the case of a physical attack on him in January 2019.
Furtula told "Vijesta" that he was outraged by the case in which, as he claims, six people beat him with crowbars, of which, according to his knowledge, only one was prosecuted.
In the response of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office to the "News", they claim that everything was done according to the law, that criminal proceedings were conducted against two persons, and a misdemeanor against one.
Although yesterday, the head of the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bjelopolje told him Vladan Đalović received for an interview, Furtula said that he will not give up the hunger strike until the supreme state prosecutor makes an announcement Milorad Marković and did not schedule a meeting with him and the state prosecutors from the Basic State Prosecutor's Office Danijelom Đuković, in the presence of his lawyer Miladin Joksimović, as well as an officer of the Bijelo Polje Security Department Veselin Šećkovića, Mevludin Hasanović i Ivan Baltic.
He said that the night before he was beaten on January 3, 2019, two assailants created a disturbance, which is why they were removed from the bar, but that night, around three hours after midnight, they returned with four more and attacked him with crowbars and bars , during which he suffered minor injuries.
However, as he pointed out, instead of arresting the attackers, a report was filed against the security of the La Piata bar, including him.
From ODT Bijelo Polje, they explained that the prosecution was conducting criminal proceedings against them FROM. R. i V.R., due to the criminal offense of slight bodily injury committed to the detriment of Furtula, while on the occasion of the same event against JR the police initiated misdemeanor proceedings.
"Against the face of Ž. R., an indictment was filed, which case was delegated by the Supreme Court to the Basic Court in Berane, while a decision was made in relation to the person of the VR, and the criminal charges were dismissed with a notice of legal instruction to the injured party", the ODT replied.
They add that the injured party filed an indictment against VR for the criminal offense of light bodily injury, for which the Basic Court in Kolašin issued a negative verdict due to Furtula's resignation, and that JR was punished for a misdemeanor before the Misdemeanor Court in Mojkovac.
They also pointed out that in September 2021, on the occasion of the same event, Furtula filed a report against Ž. R., VR, JR, RR, M. R. and M. R. "After the end of the proceedings against Ž. R. in the Basic Court in Berane and after the collected evidence in the investigation procedure, a decision was made to dismiss the criminal complaint against the following person: Ž. R., VR, JR, RR, MR and M.R", said the ODT.
