A team of 7 teachers from Montenegro took part in the 11th Regional Teachers' Conference entitled "The World of Education Erases Borders", which was held in Velika Gorica, Croatia, and Maja Todorović, a teacher from the Dragan Kovačević University of Applied Sciences from Nikšić, was the winner. is the title "Best teacher of the region". She was also a participant and panelist at the Fair of Educational Ideas. The conference was organized by the Association of the best teachers and leaders of the region.
Other participants of the Fair of Educational Ideas who presented their innovative projects and teaching materials, as well as the institution where they are employed, are: M.Sc. Lekić" from Tuzi and Nevena Ljujić from Primary School "Dušan Korać" from Bijelo Polje. The winners of the full member of the Association award are Veronika Vraneš from JU Elementary School "Drago Milović" from Tivat and Jovana Papić from JPU "Dragan Kovačević" from Nikšić.
"A special activity that caused positive reactions from all present teachers and at the same time created an exceptional connection, not only among leaders and creators, but among all participants, is work by sections. There were a total of six sections, and our workshop participants (creators and heads of sections) were Nevena Ljujić, Danka Čogurić, Alma Poljak and Nada Šćepanović," the press release states.
Certificates for participation in the conference were given to the teachers who actively participated in all the mentioned activities, namely: Zehra Balić from JU Elementary School "Marko Miljanov", Bijelo Polje, Danijela Keković and MA Dragana Vuković from JU Elementary School "Maksim Gorki", Podgorica , Ana Braunović from JU Elementary School "Drago Milović" Tivat, as well as all other members of the team from Montenegro. The coordinator of the conference for Montenegro was Sava Kovačević, M.Sc., the initiator of many innovative ideas and someone who advocates for the networking of teachers and their professional development.
"Each country, each participant, selflessly contributed to make this conference a success and to build a strong network of teachers together. Such gatherings of teachers, great enthusiasts and innovators of teaching practices are exactly what we all need in order to exchange ideas for the further development of education. The network is expanding, the number of interested, dedicated teachers who want to improve professionally, to introduce modern work methods into practice is increasing. They simply want to connect and implement those ideas that have proven successful with their colleagues from the region. Also, the Association of the Best Teachers and Leaders of the Region recognizes and values the continuous efforts of each teacher during their work engagement," said Nada Šćepanović, last year's winner of the "Best Teacher of the Region" title.
More than 200 teachers from six countries participated in the conference, whose goal is to inspire and connect teachers from different parts of the Balkans, encouraging mutual cooperation and exchange of educational ideas.
The conference was opened by Željana Radojičić Lukić, the founder of the Association of the best teachers and leaders of the region, who emphasized the key role of networking and togetherness among teachers.
"During the four days of the conference, participants had the opportunity to listen to lectures by eminent experts, to exchange experiences and ideas through the Fair of Educational Ideas, panel discussions, workshops, to visit nearby educational institutions, kindergartens, schools, the Center for Children, Youth and Family as well as to visit Zagreb's sights. The Montenegrin teachers stood out with their enthusiasm and creativity and showed the best of their practice. The conference was closed with an emotional video, in which all those present participated, and it was recorded as a reminder of common energy and commitment in education," the announcement concludes.
