The management of the company "MM System" announced that on December 2, they submitted a criminal complaint against Stevan Nikčević from that city to the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) in Nikšić.
They say that they filed the report because of the suspicion that the day before, in "Vijesti u pola seda" on TV Vijesti, he made a statement in which he "falsely informed the wider social and professional public with the aim of presenting false news and claims" about the work of that company, "and with the sole aim of causing panic and serious disruption of public order and peace".
"In this way, as we reasonably suspect, he committed the criminal offense of causing panic and disorder under Article 398 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro, and in addition to the criminal offense of violating the right to information about the state of the environment under Article 317 of the Criminal Code of Montenegro," it is written in announcement.
They said that Nikčević made "inaccurate and false statements" in the TV report about the materials in the Nikšić settlements of Straševina and Kličevo - for which, they say, they have all the necessary and valid permits from the competent relevant state institutions of the country - and which "in the previous days and months, despite the sabotage of locals who are not the owners of the estates where it was deposited, with the support of certain non-governmental organizations, self-proclaimed activists, it is taken away from this area".
"MM System" has announced that criminal charges have been filed against Milan Nikčević, as well as another person employed in the Municipality of Nikšić, who, as they say, "continuously works to cast a shadow" on that company, its operations and above all, company director Milan Erbez.
"This way, as in all previous addresses regarding this case, we repeat, remind and point out that we have all the necessary permits for work and processing. Also, the studies issued by the authorized and accredited institution of the Center for Ecotoxicological Testing (CETI) from this year, it was established that on cadastral plot number 4282 KO Kličevo and cadastral plot number 1408 KO Straševina, non-hazardous material was dumped for which sampling confirmed the previously adopted opinion of the Agency, from September 16, 2024, that it is a completely harmless raw material, which is used for filling roads, making asphalt, and applying a cover layer on landfills The Constitution of Montenegro, which stipulates that our country is ecological, but also a strategic commitment such as accession to the European Union (EU), during which it is necessary to meet the highest standards of civilized countries, whose community we strive for, such as Chapter 27 - deals with processing only and exclusively non-hazardous waste into useful and usable material. This is an indisputable fact in this case as well," adds the company.
In support of the fact that the incorrect claims were made in the TV report, they said, yesterday's announcement by the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Development of the North, which "confirmed that from the very beginning, professionals from this department actively monitor all stages of the process of removing materials on the territory of local community of Klicevo and Straševina", and that they implemented all the necessary procedures, in accordance with the current legislation, ensuring that all activities are carried out within the competence and obligations of the Ministry.
"The factual situation was also confirmed by the Directorate for Railway Traffic, the Directorate for the Inspection of Railway Traffic, Infrastructure and Cableways, which, according to the announcement, confirmed the 'orderly situation, and the previously unloaded earth material was successfully removed, while the infrastructure belt along the Nikšić - Podgorica railway line, fully planned in accordance with the orders of the Ministry of Transport,'" reminds "MM System".
They say that it could not have been otherwise, because everything was done in agreement with the president of the Nikšić Municipal Assembly, Nemanja Vuković, "who responsibly approached and acted in this entire process".
"Taking into account all the above-mentioned facts, we demand that the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Nikšić, in the course of the investigation, in addition to the evidence we have attached, implement other necessary measures and actions important for the assessment of the existence of the criminal offense in question, with the aim of fully establishing the factual situation, and determining the criminal responsibility of the reported persons who, we believe, are doing all this with the intention of labeling us as devastators of our own country and city, which we have never been, nor will we ever be, as we will never allow that label to be attached to us, out of known intentions and interests, and characterize us in that way. Finally, as a company with enviable business results behind it, we promise that in the coming period, through all legal and institutional mechanisms that are provided by the Constitution and laws, and their implementation is guaranteed by Montenegrin institutions, we must fight to prevent the realization of the ideas of certain people who are doing all this for the sake of personal interests," the announcement reads.
