The plot owned by the Government in the Master Quarter 8-8 at Stari Aerodrom will be transferred to the Capital by the end of the week, the Cabinet of the Government informed "Vijesti", after a protest was held in front of the Government on this occasion.
Since September, the owners of those apartments have been waiting for the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Milojko Spajić, to transfer 70 square meters of land over which sewerage and traffic roads should be built to the capital.
The problem arose because that parcel is owned by the State of Montenegro, i.e. the Railways of Montenegro, which was supposed to be transferred to the capital, so that the sewerage and water supply pipes could be laid there, so that the road could pass through.
"The Cabinet of the President of the Government of Montenegro is aware of the problem of the tenants of Master block 8-8 at Stari Aerodrom, in Podgorica, after which all steps were taken to resolve the issue of connecting the building to the sewage network as soon as possible. By intensifying communication between the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property and the Podgorica Construction Agency, the steps that will be taken to enable tenants to move into the said facility have been determined. The Government will transfer part of the plot in question to the Capital by the end of the week", the Government informed "Vijesta".
The tenants previously announced that the investor paid for the utility equipment in the amount of 2,35 million euros back in July 2022 and thereby fulfilled his obligations.
They also complained that in addition to their apartment, they have to pay subtenant rent, and some have already started paying off the housing loan.
