The municipal Red Cross organization Bijelo Polje, in cooperation with the Local Self-Government, provided a donation for the Old People's Home in Bijelo Polje, in the form of three air conditioners, hygiene products and 750 kg of flour.
Presenting the donation, the president of the municipal Red Cross, Miloš Kljajević, expressed the hope that this donation will contribute to the improvement of the quality of the user's stay in the home, but also that it will encourage all socially responsible companies and individuals to show empathy, in order to jointly create better conditions for the stay of the elderly in this institution.
Mašan Živković, secretary of the municipal Red Cross, said that this is just a continuation of the cooperation with the Old People's Home and that the municipal Red Cross and the Local Self-Government will continue to provide support in order to jointly respond to all challenges.
"I am especially pleased by the fact that this activity was also supported by the employees of the municipal Red Cross, who allocated financial resources for the purchase of an air conditioner. With this, we showed that we are all together in the service of humanity and solidarity and that in the coming period, through joint activities, we will improve the position of the elderly, both those who are placed in the home and those who are visited by our geronto-homemakers," Živković concluded.
