The Montenegrin Electric Transmission System (CGES) has submitted a request to the Environmental Protection Agency of Montenegro for a decision on the need to prepare an Elaboration on Environmental Impact Assessment for the project of building a cable line from the substation (TS) Radovići to pillar 170 of the Tivat - Lastva transmission line at the location of cadastral municipalities. Radovići, Nikovići, Milovići, Bogišići, Đuraševići in the municipality of Tivat and Kavač, Lješevići, Economic zone in the municipality Kotor.
The secretariat for spatial planning of the two Bokele municipalities invited the citizens of Tivat and Kotor to inspect the submitted documentation and to submit their opinions, comments and suggestions to the Environmental Protection Agency by December 9.
To connect new consumers to the power grid on the Luštica peninsula, including the tourist complex "Luštica bay" in Tivat, a new substation is being built at a location near Cape Tri krsta in Trašte Bay, which will be connected to the transmission network. To connect TS Radovići to the transmission network, a new cable line will be laid from that transformer station to the pillar of the existing transmission line Lastva - Tivat, which is being reconstructed.
The cable route is defined by the Electric Power Infrastructure Plan from the Spatial Plan for Special Purposes for the Coastal Area of Montenegro. CGES was issued by the then Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism in connection with this in 2020 Urban-technical conditions for the preparation of technical documentation for the new transmission line. The length of the route of the new high-voltage cable is 10.415 meters. The route, among other things, passes by the Tivatska solila nature reserve. The CGES emphasizes that the route of the new underground transmission line runs "parallel to the border of the protected natural property, the floristic and faunal nature reserve Tivatska solila, and does not enter the border of the said protected property".
