The former director of the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica, Zoja Bojanić Lalović, said that Professor Radoman Čečović was recommended as a favorite among students, an intellectual and an artist, and that with his unforgivable attitude towards a young woman and his former student, he destroyed the reputation he had built up for decades.
The Center for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro (CIN-CG) announced Text in which a case of inappropriate behavior towards a former student of the Gymnasium is described. A little later, the former student disclosed evidence of Ćečović's inappropriate behavior on social networks.
She was especially, as she said, revolted by the non-reaction of the school administration, led by the director, Biljana Vučurović.
Vučurović said today at the press conference that Čečović was hired by Bojanić Lalović. The former director explains that she is Čečović "taken over by agreement" from SSŠ from Bijelo Polje in accordance with the Law and his right to, due to a change of residence, receive free classes during the Lalović mandate.
"This professor was recommended as a favorite among students, an intellectual and an artist. He is the author of textbooks, a poet and a member of the jury of the Ratković poetry evening event. We have confirmation of this in the fact that he was almost awarded the Special Prize for the best European textbook. Professor Čečović is also at the Slobodan Gymnasium Škerović was a respected and respected pedagogue and there were never any complaints that would indicate a scandalous attitude towards female students, and we built a relationship of trust and solved all the problems of our students," she said. is a former director.
She said that Čečović, with his unforgivable attitude towards a young woman and his former student, destroyed the reputation he had built up for decades, but also made us think deeply about the question of what are the mechanisms to recognize such cases in schools.
"Disgusted by what happened, I strongly condemn the actions of Professor Čečović and I appeal, but also expect that the competent institutions will carry out activities to shed light on the whole story. I also emphasize that in this case the decisive question is not who hired him, but who was competent and responsible when the former student reported the case. It is also important to answer why this was kept silent for three years and whether and how the further work of the professor and the relationship with the students was monitored," Bojanić believes. Lalović.
She pointed out that there are no "public secrets" in her professional engagement, and that her engagement in the private Gymnasium "Podgorica" consists exclusively of the pro-bono engagement of a professional consultant, to which, she clarifies, she has a legal and moral right.
"Certainly, I will not apologize to anyone for the chance to help establish the work of an educational institution, since education was my professional path, and it was illegally stopped by political persecution. The actors of that persecution apparently do not choose the means to try to humiliate and discredit me. I value the reputation of the institution in which I developed as a professor and at whose head I was for almost six years, so I will deal with baseless attacks on my reputation and dignity without media sensationalism I will no longer advertise, except through struggle and condemnation of all cases that undermine the dignity of women in general," said Lalović.
