The Center for Roma Initiatives organized a campaign in Nikšić, Podgorica and Berane on the occasion of December 10, International Human Rights Day, with the message - "Human rights are the rights of all of us".
As part of the campaign, activists and volunteers of the organization wore T-shirts with campaign slogans, and promotional material - calendars for the year 2025 with messages including: "Education is really the key to everything" - was distributed to Roma and Egyptians in Nikšić, Podgorica and Berane. "There is no justice without equality", "Being different means being valuable", "Help others - fight for everyone's rights", "The fight for rights is not only a fight, it is also our future". "The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of human rights and equality, as well as to empower young members of the Roma-Egyptian (RE) community. The activity that preceded this campaign was a five-day educational camp for members of the RE community who were trained to become peer educators," she said. is Jovana Sarić from the Center for Roma Initiatives.
During the camp, messages were created that talk about human rights and were taken for the campaign and for a short video, which was promoted through social networks.
The campaign is part of the project "United in the fight for human rights", which the Center for Roma Initiatives implements with the support of the American Embassy in Podgorica through the Small Grants Program of the Democratic Commission.
