The Mayor of the Capital City of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, made the decision to award this year's "Ivan Crnojević" Charter to Doctor Vukmirović at the suggestion of the citizens of Cetinje.

Vukmirović was born on April 5, 1976 in Cetinje, where he graduated from primary and secondary school as a winner of the "Luča" award. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pristina as the first student from the generation of 2000.

He completed his specialization in Internal Medicine as the first student from the generation of 2006, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade. At the same faculty, he completed a short specialization in Cardiology in 2010.

He completed his Master's studies in the field of Cardiology in 2006 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Kragujevac. He defended his first doctoral thesis on atrial fibrillation at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro in 2017.

He defended his second doctoral thesis on complex ventricular rhythm disorders and sudden cardiac death at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of East Sarajevo in 2018. He passed the expert exam in the field of rhythm disorders of the European Rhythm Disorders Association (EHRA) in 2017 in Vienna, which earned him the title of Expert, as well as a license for the diagnosis and treatment of the most complex heart rhythm disorders.

He has been a teaching assistant in the Internal Medicine course at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro since 2006. Since 2022, he is an assistant professor in the Physiology subject at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Montenegro in the Pharmacy program.

In the field of cardiology, i.e. heart rhythm disorders, he completed several years of education at the Reference Pacemaker Center of the Clinical Center of Serbia, as well as at the Dedinje Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases in Belgrade, i.e. the Institute for Clinical and Experimental Medicine (IKEM) in Prague, where he stayed several times. as a fellow of the European Association for Rhythm Disorders (EHRA, Fellowship program).

He trained on several occasions at the Medronic training center in Lausanne, "Salzburg Landeskliniken" in Austria, Regional Hospital in Odessa, "Semmelweis University Heart Center" in Budapest, "Maria Cecilia Hospital" in Bologna, with the doyen of arrhythmology Prof. Dr. Carl Pappone- and, "Princess Grace Hospital Center" in Monte Carlo, "Erasmus Medical Center" in Rotterdam, "Clinique Pasteur" in Toulouse, Clinical Hospital Dubrava in Zagreb. He is a member of several working groups of the European Rhythm Disorders Association (EHRA). He organized and chaired several international and domestic scientific and professional sessions, that is, gatherings. He has published papers in international indexed journals and congresses. He was a participant in the international project for telemedicine "Member of the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Telemedicine investigate program group", and now he is part of the international project "AlHeal-An artificial Intelligence Healtcare System", which received the first grant from the Innovation Fund of Montenegro Above.

He has been the head of the Department for Rhythm Disorders and Heart Electrophysiology of the Clinical Center of Montenegro since July 2015, which is the best in the region in terms of the number of procedures per capita in the last few years and is at the very top of European arrhythmology (EHRA white book).

He is a pioneer of interventional electrophysiology in Montenegro and performs the most complex interventions in solving rhythm disorders. He was the first in the region to implant the world's smallest pacemaker "Micra".

He is a member of the Association of Cardiologists of Montenegro, the Association of Cardiologists of Serbia, the European Association of Cardiologists (ESC) and the European Association for Rhythm Disorders (EHRA). He is the president of the Association for Atrial Fibrillation of Montenegro and the Association for Sports Cardiology of Montenegro.
