The non-governmental organization (NGO) "Equivalent" announced today that it is organizing the final conference within the implementation of the "Zero Rate of Tolerance" project, which will be held at the "Aurel" hotel in Podgorica, on Friday, December 13 at 11 a.m.
The announcement adds that the final conference is organized within the aforementioned project, which is being implemented by the NGO "Equivalent" in partnership with the "Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities of Montenegro - ULTICG."
"This project is implemented with the support of a grant awarded within the Inclusive Dialogue for the Progress of Society project, which is implemented by the Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM). The project is financed by the European Union, through the Delegation of the European Union in Montenegro and co-financed by the Ministry of public administration," the announcement reads.
The NGO Ekvivalent said that the goal of the project is to raise the level of awareness of public authorities, civil society organizations and the general public about barriers that make it difficult and/or impossible for people with disabilities to access the built environment, transport, information and communications, in the area of the Capital City of Podgorica and the Capital Cetinje.
"At the conference, in addition to the Analysis of the accessibility of the built environment, transportation, information and communication for people with disabilities in the area of the Capital City Podgorica and the Capital Cetinje, a promotional video will be premiered about the state of human rights of people with disabilities regarding the realization of the right to access the built environment, transportation, information and communications," the announcement concludes.
