Students of the Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN) in Podgorica support the right of colleagues from Serbia to peaceful protests and their determination to protect academic autonomy, says the proclamation of the students of the Podgorica FPN.
The students of the FPN in Podgorica, as stated, are deeply in solidarity with their colleagues at the FPN in Belgrade, as well as with all students who have decided to block university premises as a form of civil resistance.
"We are aware of the gravity of the moment we live in and the challenges facing the whole world, including the fight for basic civil liberties, transparency of institutions and the responsibility of those in power," the proclamation says.
It is emphasized that these goals are not only local, but universal and they are the pillars of every democratic society.
The proclamation states that the struggle of students in Serbia for truth, justice and responsibility, as well as advocacy for freedom of expression and assembly, shows the strength of the student spirit.
"We support your right to peaceful protest and your determination to protect academic autonomy and the security of the university as a space for dialogue and progress," the proclamation said.
The Montenegrin FPN said that, in just five hours, the proclamation was signed by over 100 students, and it will remain open for signature by those who wish to sign later.
