The educational inspection proposed the dismissal of Biljana Vučurović, the director of the "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium in Podgorica, from that position.
This was stated by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation (MPNI) Anđela Jakšić-Stojanović during an urgently convened press conference.
She apologized for scheduling the speech late. She said that in the previous days the MPNI initiated emergency procedures.
Jakšić-Stojanović requested the submission of documentation related to the case of sexual harassment of a student from professor R.Č.
She said that on December 9, a meeting was held with the Minister of Justice and the non-governmental organization "Parents".
"Today we received the findings of the Education Inspectorate, and we also received from the Labor Inspectorate a notification about the inspection carried out... The following is stated - Biljana Vučurović took measures against the teacher R.Č... The appointed does not verify the student's allegations that this is happening to others to the students at the school. Student Vučurović again points out that they have students who are uncomfortable in the R.Č classes, but Vučurović does not take any action...", she said. Jakšić-Stojanović.
Jakšić-Stojanović said that Vučurović did not submit a report to the school team, and that she did not act in accordance with the ethical codes of that institution.
She urged that "this event should not be politicized" and added that it is important to report any form of violence.
"These are situations that can happen to the child of any of us," said Jakšić Stojanović, adding that she will act according to the law.
The director has three days to make a statement.
Based on the director's statement, the educational inspection sends a proposal to the minister on the basis of which she will make a decision.
