The Directorate for Forestry and Hunting Grounds Management awarded the largest amount of firewood at lower prices - nine euros per cubic meter to the people of Pljevlja. They use 13.679,5 cubic meters of the planned amount of 47.618.
The Administration points out that they have passed 5.467 decisions on the allocation of firewood at a lower price.
"Given that this is a legally prescribed activity, which is carried out every year on the basis of planning documents, i.e. the annual Forest Management Program, all requests received from citizens, according to information from regional units, were processed and decisions were issued on the allocation of firewood in a deep state for the needs of the population in rural areas, in accordance with Article 78 of the Forest Law", explained the Administration.
They state that on the basis of the Decision on determining the prices for the purchase of wood assortments for the own needs of the population in rural areas, the price of firewood was determined in the amount of nine euros per cubic meter, while felling and transportation depend on contractors that the citizens themselves organize and hire.
According to their data, 3.206 cubic meters were allocated to Andrijevica Regional Unit, Berane 3.278, Bijelo Polje 6.159, Danilovgrad 3.063, Kolašin 3.602, Kotor 40, Mojkovac 2.575, Nikšić 2.952, Petnjica 382, Plav 440. , PJ Pljevlja 13.679,5, PJ Plužine 3.173, PJ Podgorica 531, PJ Rožaje 125, PJ Šavnik 1.296,5, and PJ Žabljak 3.116 cubic meters.
The price of firewood over the counter in Podgorica is around 80 euros per cubic meter.
