The Democrats submitted an amendment that provided for an increase in fees for medical residents

The Club of Deputies of Democratic Montenegro has submitted an amendment to the proposal of the Law on the Budget for 2025, which will create the conditions for providing financial resources for increasing the compensation for the separate life of doctors on specialization, said deputy Albin Ćeman.

"According to the current situation, the monthly amount of expenses for the separate life of doctors on specialization is 333 euros in the net amount for doctors on specialization outside Montenegro and 110 euros for doctors on specialization outside their place of residence, within Montenegro. Given that the amount of 333 euros is not changed since 2009 and that real estate rental prices have increased, and respecting the recent petition of over 200 doctors on specialization for an increase financial resources for separate life, we decided to act as an amendment and increase the monthly amount of separate life from 333 euros to 650 euros in the net amount for doctors on specialization outside Montenegro, and from 110 euros to 350 euros in the net amount for doctors on specialization within our country", said Ćeman.

"Aware of the fact that these are young doctors, who will represent the backbone of our health system in the near future, we believe that this is by no means an expense for the state, but a justified investment in knowledge, which will have a multiplied effect, because it is the most vital part of our health system and to people with one of the most representative professions both in our country and everywhere in the world, on which, among other things, the future of our country should rest," said the Democratic MP.
