On the occasion of the international Caritas Sunday, last weekend in the monastery complex of St. Nicholas in Prčanje, the humanitarian organization Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor organized a "Dinner for Donors", as a sign of the association's gratitude to those who, during the year at the end of the year, most significantly supported the activities of Caritas.
The host of the dinner, the director of "Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor", don Željko Pasković, greeted all the guests and thanked them, and he especially highlighted the Montenegrin family from Berlin who, despite their numerous donations and great support for activities to help the poor, that is, on the revitalization of the cultural heritage of Boka Kotorska, wished to remain anonymous.
Thanks to her decisive contribution, Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor managed to launch the National Kitchen project that is successfully working in Tivat this year.
"First of all, I want to thank the 'Montenegro family from Berlin' for their great support, will and desire to realize this project. They are the creators of this project and with their great support we managed to turn the idea into reality. We also have great support from the president Municipality of Tivat Željko Komnenović, vice-president, as well as councilors of the Municipality of Tivat. In addition to the space allocated to us in the very center of the city, where Caritas' National Kitchen - Tivat', and provides a hot meal every day, for 70 users, we are also pleased with the decision of the Municipality to allocate funds from the budget of the city of Tivat for the year 2025 for the business needs of the 'Caritas National Kitchen - Tivat'", said, among other things, don Paskovic.
He also expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Montefish company from Tivat, which, as he said, donates a significant amount of high-quality fish and fish products to the National Kitchen in Tivat every Friday, "and we can freely say that we are the few who enable their users to consume fish on a weekly basis ".
According to the director of Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor, among those who support the work of the National Kitchen is the Kotor Bokel Navy.
"Also, we would like to thank all the individuals who opened a standing order and thus pay funds on a monthly basis for the needs of the work of the 'Caritas National Kitchen', as well as the socially responsible companies that participate in any way in the realization of this very important and significant project. Caritas is financed exclusively from donations, and each donation ultimately means a safe meal for those who need it the most," said don Pasković, who especially thanked the volunteers who work on the preparation and distribution of food in the National Kitchen in Tivat.
