The presidents of the Municipality of Nikšić and the Municipal Assembly (SO) of Nikšić, Marko Kovačević and Nemanja Vuković, together with their associates, visited the completed works on the access roads in the neighborhood under Trebjes.
According to Kovačević, over 30 infrastructure projects were implemented in the previous period, and as many more are in the implementation phase.
"We are very pleased to have finished this part of the neighborhood under Trebjes - eight branches are involved. The value of the project is 300 euros, so we are finishing this year successfully. We did this in cooperation with the locals, after the work carried out by the Waterworks in 2019, as a result of which the streets remained in a rather unkempt state. In the previous days, we asphalted over 30 road routes in the Kličevo local community, and the work is nearing completion. in the neighborhood between Karađorđeva and Narodnih heroja street, where only the elements for the children's playground have to arrive," Kovačević said.
As he pointed out, the works on the construction of the playground in Integral's settlement, as well as the basketball and indoor soccer fields in Stara Varoš, are in progress.
"Soon we expect the completion of the asylum for dogs, which will also solve a big problem, and we recently finished another decades-long problem - the landfill Mislov do. We tried to fulfill all the promises we made during the pre-election campaigns and during the mandate itself, to the best possible way and in accordance with the possibilities that the Municipality has, let's achieve it in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro and all other institutions", said Kovačević.
Vuković emphasized that a tender for the construction of a sports and recreational zone and the arrangement of the trim track around Trebjesa is expected soon.
"It is one of the largest capital projects - an investment in sports and recreational infrastructure, the value of which is around 2,5 million euros. With all that we have done this year, the next year is expected to be extremely dynamic in the field of carrying out works and improving the quality of life of all our fellow citizens, and it is very important to point out that none of our activities in the past four years have been directed towards any political process," said Vuković.
Local resident Radislav Jaredić pointed out that the story started, to everyone's satisfaction, ended successfully and that they are grateful to everyone who helped to finally pave the streets in the neighborhood where about 400 households live.
"This money has been given a real purpose, because a large number of people will 'use' it in the right way," said Jaredić.
The works were carried out by the company "Mechanization and Programat".
