RTCG Council members Veselin Drljević, Amina Murić, Milica Špajak, Filip Lazović, Naod Zorić and Vladimir Drekalović denied the allegations made today by RTCG Council member Marijana Camović Veličković.
They stated in the statement that criticism is very desirable and welcome "when it is constructive and justified", and that "the untruthful and extremely tendentious distribution of incorrect information with the aim of discrediting RTCG requires a response".
"Radio-television of Montenegro consistently implements all obligations related to transparency. Council sessions are public, documents such as the Program and Financial Plan are available for inspection, and public procurement processes are rated as one of the most transparent in Montenegro. Every interested party has the opportunity to become familiar with the key documents and procedures. service ranked as the second most transparent public company in Montenegro on the Transparency Index of the operations of public companies, which is a confirmation of the good intentions and efforts of people for whom transparency is very important," reads the press release of the members of the RTCG Council.
They also add that every accusation will be treated in accordance with the law.
"Camović Veličković's statement that 'a larger part of the budget is spent on salaries and less on the program' shows ignorance of the structure of the Public Service budget, and therefore of its own work. To be honest, RTCG has a budget in which expenditure on salaries is less than 50 percent of the total funds, and in a situation where employees' salaries have increased, which contributes to the improvement of their status and motivation are earnings of 11,687 million. "Also, the increases in compensation for Council members are aligned with legal solutions, which is also very tendentially ignored in criticism. Making untrue claims about the earnings of employees, including editors and correspondents, does not contribute to solving the problem, but only serves to discredit. All earnings in RTCG- are calculated in accordance with the law and internal rules of the house," the announcement reads.
They also add that the criticism of the Program Plan "shows a lack of understanding of the relationship between the financial and production plan".
"The programming activities of RTCG reflect the mission of the Public Service, and investments in new shows, technical resources and content are carefully planned in order to meet the standards and needs of the audience, as well as the need to rapidly modernize the Public Media Service. It is incomprehensible that a member of the Council of RTCG expresses opposition to the improvement of music production, especially considering that our musicians are currently forced to look for opportunities outside the borders of Montenegro. because this important segment of journalism is realized through all the editorial offices of the Public Service, which continuously contributes to the quality and relevance of our program," it was announced.

They also announced that the reorganization of the offices in Tivat is aimed at better coverage of the region and solving long-standing problems with logistics and efficiency.
