The beginning of the winter season in Kolašin was marked by well-filled accommodation facilities and a crowded ski resort Kolašin 1600.
The first skiing days on Bjelasica, after March 2022, fans of winter sports, judging by the crowded parking lot of the state ski resort, could hardly wait, so idyllic pictures came from the mountain. That's what the manager of the state ski resort told "Vijesti". Bojan Medenica, the start of the season that they have long wished for.
"Really ideal conditions on the slopes, with nice weather and a large number of guests are an encouragement for all of us who expect a lot from this winter season. As is well known, even though there were many challenges before the beginning of the tourist winter, we invested all our capacities to welcome the first tourists with prepared trails and other infrastructure. I hope that this trend will continue, and that the coming months will justify our expectations", said Medenica.
At the Ski-center Kolašin 1600, during the past two days, tracks 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, and cable car K8 were in operation. A lane and a training ground for beginners were also available to the visitors.
Medenica explains that the police did a great job, so despite the many guests, there was order in the parking lot.
Guests at Bjelasica are mostly tourists from the region, as well as from Albania, Russia, Ukraine...
However, the two new ski lifts at that ski resort, of the "plate" and "anchor" types, are not yet in operation. Allegedly, a use permit is awaited for that part of the ski infrastructure, which is a novelty in the offer.
However, as it is, they explain non-officially from the ski resort, just a formality, they expect that the offer will soon be completed with those facilities, the total length of which is about 1,2 kilometers.
The ski season has also started at the neighboring private ski resort Kolašin 1450. However, there is no official information yet on the condition of the K7 cable car, which connects the infrastructure of the K40 cable car with the state ski center, i.e. it provides skiers with the opportunity to use more than XNUMX kilometers of trails on Bjelasici.
Accommodation providers in Kolašin are also satisfied with the number of overnight stays announced. Although there is no precise data on the current occupancy of private accommodation, as the director of the local Tourist Organization (TO) says Zorica Milašinović, according to announcements, interest in wintering in Kolašin is at an enviable level.
She says that the occupancy of hotel capacities is even better, so, according to unofficial data, the occupancy of the new hotel in Bjelasica is more than 80 percent.
Milašinović reminds that this year a lot of calculations were made about the non-boarding offer. The traditional Christmas bazaar is underway at Trg boraca. A large number of daily parties and activities for children are planned at the same location. The director of TO announces one edition of the Winter Art Festival for January, which in previous years complemented the non-boarding offer of Kolašin during the winter season in a high-quality manner. This event will last from February 10 to 19, and will be opened with a concert Verice Čuljković. It will be organized, as usual, by the NGO for the promotion of young talents, TO, the Municipality and the Culture Center.
"Within that festival, a performance Marko Prentić it is planned for January 13, and two days later, young musical talents will be presented to the audience. The Winter Art Festival will be closed with a concert Amira Medunjanin. During this winter, part of the content of the non-boarding offer will be intended for devotees of active vacations. Walking and snowshoeing tours will be organized. As before, TO and the Municipality will provide support in the organization of the Sinjavin and Bjelasic winter marathons," announced Milašinović.
