More than 480.000 euros were distributed to NGO resource centers

The Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations distributed 488.154 euros for financing the national and three regional resource centers of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

The President of the Commission for the Distribution of Funds for the Financing of Resource Centers for Non-Governmental Organizations, Bojana Delić, and the Executive Director of the Center for the Development of Non-Governmental Organizations, Zorana Marković, as representatives of the consortium of non-governmental organizations, resource centers, signed today an agreement on the method of payment and use of funds, reporting and monitoring of implementation. of the "Network of Resource Centers of Montenegro" program.

The 2022-2026 cooperation strategy of state administration bodies and non-governmental organizations envisages the formation of a national and three regional resource centers for non-governmental organizations, the Ministry announced.

"With the signing of the contract, the implementation of a two-year program of resource centers will begin, which will aim to support the non-governmental sector by strengthening capacity, innovative potential, and improving and developing the services they provide to citizens. This program is implemented in partnership with four non-governmental organizations, that is, a consortium that makes up the Center for the Development of Non-Governmental organization, as a national resource center and Bjelopolje Democratic Center, Aktivna zona and Novi Horizont, as three regional resource centers," the announcement reads.

The Ministry of Regional-Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations is, as they said, strongly committed to the concept of civil society development, greater inclusion and more active role of NGOs in the processes of preparation and implementation of public policies, respect and partnership, and in this context recognizes them as a pillar democracy, the bearer of reforms and an indispensable factor in socio-economic development.

"Since the beginning of the application of the existing model of financing projects and programs of non-governmental organizations, this type of support for non-governmental organizations has been established for the first time, in the amount of 488.154,00 euros, which is also the largest amount so far determined from budget funds for an individual program," he writes. in the statement.
