Informal group of students "Where to tomorrow?" will organize today a gathering in Cetinje and a protest in Podgorica, on the occasion of the tragedy in which 1 people were killed in the capital on January 12.
The organizers invited all citizens to pay their respects to the victims of the recent crime with a twelve-minute silence in front of the Lovcen villa monument in Cetinje today, at 17:26 p.m.
They invited the citizens to gather in front of the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) in Podgorica, after that, at 19:30 p.m., from where they will send requests to that institution.
From the group "Kamo sjutra" they emphasized that this collective of Montenegrin students has no connection with any political party and that they are organizing the protests without any party influence.
They asked the political parties to respect that today and contribute to remain civil gatherings, without any party characteristics.
"Where to tomorrow?" is, as they stated, an informal group of students from different Montenegrin faculties gathered around the common need for a safer and better life for the entire society.
They recalled that they gathered for the first time on December 26, when they sent support to their colleagues in Serbia from the plateau in front of the Faculty of Law, and then joined the protest against sexual harassment in schools with a protest walk.
"Recent events in Montenegro have further contributed to the fact that citizens do not feel safe in their country," said the group "Where to tomorrow?".
They emphasized that freedom of speech, quality education, social justice, equality and security in Montenegrin society are seriously threatened.
"Therefore, our goal is clear – the fight for a democratic and safe society, without violence. A society that does not agree to remain silent and obey, but speaks clearly and acts in the interest of all citizens," the statement said.
From the informal group "Kamo sjutra" they announced that today they will announce the demands of the protest.
"If you can't be in Cetinje on Sunday at 17:26 p.m., pay your respects in your cities," the announcement added.
