Drama, film, visual and musical artists, writers, cultural workers, producers, art historians and theoreticians, over 300 of them signed, they provided support to the informal student organization "Kamo Śutra" and their demands that the responsibility for the two mass murders that took place in Cetinje during the previous two and a half years be fully clarified.

We transmit the announcement in its entirety:

"It is the last moment for all of us to worry about the safety of citizens in Montenegro and to call to account the heads of state institutions whose responsibility is the safety and security of citizens.

Also, we call on the ruling parties, their media and service channels on social networks to stop inappropriately targeting students, whose goal is to intimidate them and hinder the constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of speech and assembly.

We appeal to all other political entities, civil organizations, citizens, to express their support for the students by respecting their instructions and requests communicated through official channels, and to refrain from excessive media exposure.

The informal student group "Kamo Śutra" clearly defined itself and presented demands aimed at the healing of Montenegrin society and its right to know the full truth about the terrible events in Cetinje.

As public employees, we have an obligation to protect their safety and the right to public activity.

Therefore, with our professional and personal integrity, we put ourselves under their protection, because students are the future and perspective of every progressive society and orderly state. Danger and threat represent only totalitarianism and autocracy!

Proud of their perseverance, critical spirit and humanism that they show, we are obliged, and in this way, to publicly warn that the Montenegrin youth and their justified rebellion must not in any way be the target of the malicious actions of political parties and public office holders!

Expressing our deepest condolences to the families of the victims of the Cetinje mass murders, we join the public and justified demands that the truth come out and that responsibility for the non-functioning of the security system be established," the letter of support reads.
