Deputy Prime Minister for Security and President of Democratic Montenegro Aleksa Bečić is obliged to submit evidence to the informal student group "Kamo śutra" for accusations from his party that they are organizing protests in the name of Milo Đukanović and criminal clans, said the director of Action for Human Rights Tea Gorjanc Prelevic. .
She added that she was at their protest and that she supports all the students' demands, and that she is interested in what right and on what basis they were publicly criminalized.
"And it can't be like that. The Democrats first explicitly accused the students who publicly perform in front of the group 'Where to tomorrow?' to organize protests on behalf of Đukanović and the criminal clans, and for that, their president, Aleksa Bečić, the well-informed Deputy Prime Minister for Security, is obliged to submit the evidence they asked him for such dangerous claims! I was at their protest too, and I support it all their demands and I am very interested with what right, on the basis of which they were so publicly criminalized," Gorjanc Prelevic wrote on Facebook.
She wondered why anyone who demands that the basic democratic order be respected - that a few resignations be submitted in a very serious situation - must be declared a criminal, a lover of Milo or, at the very least, misled.
"I understand the zeal to preserve their people in the highest state positions, but the baseless humiliation, heavy accusations and targeting of young people who are just asking to adopt normal democratic practices I can neither understand nor justify. The ultimate effect of all this is to intimidate and all the critics of the rulers - in this case the Democrats - shut up, which is completely undemocratic, isn't it?!" concluded Gorjanc Prelevic.
