The non-governmental organization (NGO) 35 mm called on the institutions to show responsibility and ensure the right of young people to freedom of speech, peaceful assembly and expression of critical opinion.
The NGO 35 mm said that they strongly support the students who bravely raise their voices demanding truth, justice and responsibility for the tragic events that shook Montenegrin society.
As they said, the perseverance and integrity of the students and their commitment to the universal values of justice and freedom serve as an example to all and are a symbol of hope for a better tomorrow.
"We call on the institutions to show responsibility and ensure the right of young people to freedom of speech, peaceful assembly and expression of critical opinion", according to the press release of the NGO 35mm.
The NGO emphasized that the voice of students must be protected from all forms of intimidation, inappropriate targeting and political pressure.
"A safe environment for young people who are advocating for a fairer society is not only their right - it is the obligation of all of us", emphasized the NGO 35mm.
They appealed to political entities to stop discrediting and manipulations that undermine the legitimate demands of young people.
"Instead, we call for solidarity and open dialogue, because only with joint efforts can we heal the deep wounds of our society", said the NGO 35 mm.
The NGO expressed its condolences to the families of the victims in Cetinje and added that they join the demands for complete transparency, responsibility and justice.
"Only the truth can be the foundation for building a safer, fairer and more dignified society for all of us," the announcement concludes.
