During the night and in the next two or three days, an increased and strong north and northeast wind is expected, with a high average speed, and gusts of up to 100 kilometers per hour (km/h), the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) warned.
From that government department, they said that due to the presence of a cyclone in the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is gradually moving towards the southern Adriatic and the Ionian Sea, and the arrival of noticeably cold air from the north, which leads to a strengthening of air pressure, a strong gradient field is being established over Montenegro ( a large difference in pressure over a relatively small distance).
"Tonight and the next two to three days, an increased and strong north and northeast wind is expected, with a high average speed, and gusts of up to 100 km/h," said the Ministry of Interior's announcement.
They stated that mostly weak to moderate precipitation is expected, somewhat more pronounced in the eastern regions, snow in most continental regions, and rain on the coast.
"The Directorate for Protection and Rescue of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sent the aforementioned warning to all participants in the protection and rescue system and indicated the need to increase operational readiness," the statement said.
