The "anchor" and "plate" type ski lifts installed last year at the state ski resort Kolašin 1600 will soon be operational, the manager of the ski center expects. Bojan Medenica.

As he told "Vijesti", part of the ski infrastructure, which is new to the offer, should be available to skiers after the procedures regarding usage permits are completed.

"We have contacts regarding the completion of that part of the procedures, so I hope that we will soon offer visitors to the ski center two new ski lifts and about 1,2 kilometers of trails along them. After a short break due to the lack of snow, and after new precipitation, the ski resort is working again, and today three trails are in operation, followed by the K8 cable car, as well as a training ground and a trail for beginners. We are also satisfied with the number of guests these days," said Medenica.

The Capital Projects Administration issued a public call for proposals for the design and construction of two ski lifts within the Kolašin 1600 Ski Center almost a year ago. According to the tender documentation, a little over 3,5 million euros have been allocated for this investment.

However, the ski lifts are not yet operational, because the operating permits, which are a prerequisite for the functioning of that part of the infrastructure, have not been issued.

The project terms of reference indicate that the capacity of the "Tanjir" ski lift must not be less than 1.200 skiers per hour, and the tender includes all elements, materials and installations that will be built, from the starting and exit stations, the ski lift line and accompanying facilities with accompanying elements.

"It is desirable that the elevation of the starting station of the cable car is at an altitude of 1.580 meters, and it is also necessary to form a plateau for skiers to access. The ski lift route should be designed in accordance with urban planning and technical conditions, and the technical documentation should provide for the ski lift to be of the prefabricated type, with as few welded joints as possible. The exit station should be designed at an altitude of 1.780 meters. It is necessary to foresee all necessary works so that in addition to the construction of the exit station, the terrain planning and the formation of a plateau for skiers to descend should be carried out," the tender documentation stated.

"Saucer" type ski lift, designed in such a way that it is compatible with the existing ski lifts and ski runs of the Ski Center, and the capacity is a minimum of 700 skiers per hour. The project task envisages that the starting station is at about 1.580 meters above sea level, with the formation of a plateau for skiers to access. The exit station is designed at about 1670 meters above sea level.

The state ski resort, which had record-breaking attendance during the New Year holidays, also has the K7 cable car, which is followed by about 10 kilometers of ski slopes. In addition, this facility also enables the connection of all ski slopes on Bjelasica.
