Šaranović: 49 police officers who were Police Academy graduates were hired yesterday

Forty-nine students of the 14th generation of the Police Academy yesterday began permanent employment at the Police Directorate with the title of police officer, announced Minister of the Interior Danilo Šaranović.

"As we promised, we continue to build a strong and professional police force, which will be the foundation of security and trust for all citizens," he said.

He points out that this is the first time that Police Academy students, who are guaranteed employment in the Police Directorate, have started working at that institution just one day after completing their internship.

"I would like to congratulate my young colleagues on the start of their careers and say that they have numerous challenges ahead of them, but also to express my belief that their courage and desire to be protectors of the state and all its citizens will be the foundation for achieving the best results. I am also convinced of this by the fact that, in addition to the skills and knowledge they acquired during their education at the Police Academy, they have shown seriousness and responsibility during their internship," said Šaranović.

"May you be guided by a sense of justice and sacrifice, as this is a prerequisite for success in this profession. I wish you careers that will serve as an example to others, and on that path you can count on the full support of the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which will support professional development in order to set high standards in protecting citizens and preserving public order," the minister announced.
