The new school in Tivar will be completed by April, the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation announced.
They said that work on the school in Radovići is entering its final phase.
Flooring and painting works have begun on the ground floor + 1 building, with an area of 3.130 square meters, which will be intended for an elementary school, a music school, and a kindergarten department.
The value of the works that began in October 2023 is 4.716.000 euros.
"The project is being implemented through the Capital Projects Administration, to which we would like to thank, as well as all those involved in the implementation of this very important project for Tivat, for the fact that despite the large number of challenges, which primarily related to connecting the facility to the water supply and sewage network, and other harmonization of project documentation, the originally planned implementation period of 18 months will not be significantly exceeded," the Ministry announced.
They say that, based on the situation on the ground, it is realistic to expect that work on the school building will be completed by April, and "work on the sports hall and landscaping of the field will not last longer than May, so that our youngest children will have much better conditions for education."
"This is another project that is being successfully implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Tivat, and cooperation in improving educational infrastructure will continue in 2025," the statement reads.
