The principal of Podgorica's "Slobodan Škerović" Gymnasium, Biljana Vučurović, was dismissed from her position today, Vijesti has learned.
According to unofficial information, the decision was signed today and sent to Vučurović and the "Slobodan Škerović" High School.
The decision was signed by the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation, Anđela Jakšić Stojanović.
The education inspectorate previously determined that Vučurović violated regulations and failed to adequately respond to the case of sexual harassment of former high school student Sara Vujisić by professor R.Č. in 2021.
At the end of November 2024, the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIN CG) published an article in which, among other things, they cited the case of teacher R. Č., who in 2021 sent inappropriate messages to his former student.
On January 15, after working hours, Vučurović sent a decision to terminate R.Č's employment contract, because all legal deadlines had expired.
On December 20, 2024, she told Vijesti that R.Č. had not resigned, but that he had announced that he would no longer come to work, and that the management of the Slobodan Škerovic Gymnasium would act in accordance with the law.
