Montenegro will have a population of 2100 in 328.000, according to a United Nations (UN) study. "World Population Prospects 2024".
The study also states that Montenegro had a population of 1995 in 631.000, 2024 in 639.000, and that in 2054 it will have 518.000.

The study states that the world population is expected to continue to grow over the next 50 or 60 years, peaking in the mid-2080s when there will be 10,3 billion people in the world.
After the peak, the global population is projected to begin a gradual decline, to 10,2 billion people by the end of this century.
It is stated that the estimated probability that the world population will peak in this century is very high - 80 percent.
"This represents a major change compared to projections published by the United Nations in 2013, when the estimated probability that global population growth would end during the 21st century was about 30 percent," the report said.
The world's population size is expected to be six percent smaller in 2100 – or about 700 million people fewer, than was expected a decade ago.
