The digitalization service article has been finalized and will be submitted to the Government for adoption, thus creating conditions for a systematic approach to improving e-services in public administration, the Ministry of Public Administration (MPA) announced.

The MPA said that the fourth session of the Coordination Body for Managing the Digital Transformation Process was held today, chaired by the relevant Minister Maraš Dukaj.

The session was attended by representatives of relevant institutions and establishments, the business sector, local government and other key stakeholders who actively participate in the process of digital transformation of Montenegro.

Dukaj emphasized the importance of continuous work on improving the digital environment and accelerating the digital transformation of public administration.

He said that all their activities are of crucial importance for building a modern digital society in Montenegro.

"Our goal is to make public administration more efficient, transparent and closer to citizens and the economy through digitalization, with a focus on key projects and strategies that shape the future of digital services," said Dukaj.

As stated by the MPA, key activities and achievements in the field of digitalization were discussed and adopted at the session.

"The digitalization service plan has been finalized and will be submitted to the Government for adoption, thus creating the conditions for a systematic approach to improving e-services in public administration," the statement said.

Members of the Coordination Body were informed about the implemented activities related to the regulation of the identification number area, which, as stated, represents an important step towards increasing the interoperability and efficiency of administrative processes.

"Current activities related to the Open Data Portal were presented, including data updates and administrator training, with the aim of increasing the availability and use of open data in Montenegro," said the MPA.

As they stated, the session concluded with a series of recommendations aimed at further improving digitalization, with the conclusion that it is necessary to further accelerate the digital transformation process.

"Special focus will be placed on planning future activities and mapping concrete steps to overcome identified challenges, so that Montenegro can achieve significant progress in digital transformation in line with European standards," the statement said.

The MPA announced that they are continuing to coordinate and implement key initiatives that will enable a modern, digitalized and efficient public administration in the service of citizens and the economy.
