The state has ceded the space to the Capital City, so now it can begin the development of a promenade along the banks of the Morača River, 190 meters long, from Njegoš Park to under the Millennium Bridge.

This was answered to "Vijesti" by the Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica.

According to them, based on the prepared technical documentation, which is in line with Eurocodes, the Agency "has issued a public call for the second time for the selection of a contractor for the amount of 300.000 euros including value added tax (VAT)."

"The opening of the bids was scheduled for September 13, 9. After the procedure was completed, a construction contract was concluded with the company 'Bombeton' for the amount of 2024 euros including VAT," said the company headed by Dragan Senić.

They emphasized that the expert supervision of the works will be carried out by the Agency for Construction and Development of Podgorica.

"The contract execution deadline is 75 calendar days from the date of the contractor's introduction into the work. Given that the property-legal relations had not been resolved, where the disputed plots were owned by the Government of Montenegro, we were unable to introduce the contractor into the work," the Agency said, adding that they hope that "they will start work soon."

At its session held on December 26th last year, the Government of Montenegro adopted a decision granting consent to the Capital City to work on state-owned land.

"The Government has adopted a decision to amend the Decision on the transfer of the right to dispose of real estate to the Capital City of Podgorica for the purpose of achieving public interest - the development of a promenade along the banks of the Morača River. The decision will be published in the 'Official Gazette of Montenegro'," reads the decision signed by Secretary General Dragoljub Nikolić.
