The Ministry of Finance, according to the same information from Vijesti, should redirect 800.000 euros from the current budget reserve to the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation (MESI).

The Ministry of Education and Science officially announced that, at their initiative, and in cooperation with the Network of Parents' Councils in the non-governmental association (NGO) Parents' Association, the Government of Montenegro, at today's session, adopted Conclusions providing financial resources for the needs of establishing physical security for persons, facilities and property in educational institutions in Montenegro.

"The planned activity envisages that all schools in urban areas (42 secondary and 65 primary schools) attended by a significant number of students, and in which there is a risk of endangering school property, as well as a risk to the safety of employees and students attending classes, will engage physical security - security guards, in the period from February 15th until the end of the school year in order to ensure a higher level of security in educational institutions," the statement said.

The Ministry of Education and Science added that by undertaking the above activities, they and the Government of Montenegro are demonstrating their determination to put an end to violence in schools, as well as to prevent the cases that have recently occurred not only in Montenegro, but also in the region and the entire world, and concern tragic events in schools and schoolyards.

"The Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation has previously provided funds for the installation of video surveillance in all educational institutions in Montenegro, and work on the prevention of all forms of violence has been intensified through intensive education and the implementation of various project activities carried out in cooperation with international organizations, state institutions and the non-governmental sector," the Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation said.
