Workers from the Budva "Cleanliness" service of the Municipal Company, with the assistance of members of the Protection and Rescue Service and the Water Supply team, managed to clean the city by midnight.
Almost 150 tons of garbage were removed from the city's streets, and then the container stations were washed with water cannons.

The Vice President of the Municipality, Nikola Jovanović, also boasted about this on the social network Facebook, posting the progress of the cleaning campaign, while also accusing the current acting director Ilija Gigović and the Board of being to blame for the five-day workers' strike that put Budva on the brink of an ecological disaster.

Gigović did not remain in his place, accusing Jovanović of being behind the organization of the strike and of illegally paying the December salary to the workers because he was afraid of the police and prosecutor's office because they had included him in the investigation of fraud in that municipal company.
