Thanks to a subsidy from the Eco-Fund, the Municipality of Nikšić implemented a project to remove waste from three illegal landfills in the Humci settlement.
"As part of the project, approximately 1500 cubic meters of various types of waste were removed: mixed municipal, bulky and construction waste. The work included collection, transport and rehabilitation of the area, along with filling in the soil, planting tree seedlings, installing benches, building niches and installing containers. Information boards were also installed with the warning 'Waste disposal prohibited'," the Municipality announced.
The value of the implemented activities is around 58 thousand euros, of which just over 46 thousand are subsidies from the Eco-Fund.
