Director General of Radio and Television of Montenegro Boris Raonic did not submit a special report to the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption relating to the increase in assets.
Raonic, they told "Vijesti" in that institution, did not inform in a special report about the possible sale of two other cars he owns, which is why the Agency will "establish the factual situation and take appropriate measures."
The Law on the Prevention of Corruption stipulates a fine ranging from 500 to 2.000 euros for officials who fail to submit an extraordinary report to the Agency relating to a change in property exceeding 10.000 euros.
"Regarding your question, the public official to whom the inquiry refers reported the purchase of a new vehicle - a 'Toyota Corolla' in 2024, in his regular annual report submitted to the Agency on January 22, 2025. In that report, he also listed ownership of two used cars," the Agency told "Vijesti".
They emphasized that, according to the information available to that institution, Raonic did not submit any reports in the event of changes related to the increase in assets, although he "had an obligation if he earned income above the legal threshold."
"The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption will act in accordance with its jurisdiction, determine the facts and take appropriate measures. The public will be informed of the outcome of the procedure in a timely manner," the editorial office was told.
According to data from the regular annual report that the head of the Public Service Broadcasting Agency submitted to the Agency on January 22, his basic salary was 3.529,5 euros. According to the report, available on the ASK website, Raonić did not receive any variables during the year.
In February last year, he had the highest net salary in the country - 4.042,56 euros, which is data from the list of the 2.000 highest earners in Montenegro, published by the Ministry of Finance.
After a stormy reaction from part of the public due to the amount of his salary and the fact that he had a higher salary than the top people in the Special Prosecutor's Office, the rector of the University of Montenegro, many university professors and deans, subspecialist doctors..., Raonić asked the RTCG Council to amend the annex to his employment contract.
This amendment stipulates that he can receive a variable part of his salary in the amount of a maximum of two, instead of the previous three, average salaries at the RTCG level. The average salary at RTCG was 800 euros.
The variable part of the salary, according to RTCG rules, is paid to employees "based on the results achieved in their work...".
