CAA: With experts from Brussels on the implementation of new EU regulations

Experts from the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) from Brussels held a three-day training on information security at the Civil Aviation Agency (CAA).

This was announced today by the CAA.

"The aim of the workshop is to familiarize participants in detail with the requirements of the new European Union (EU) regulations relating to information security in civil aviation. These are two EU regulations that define this area, and whose adoption at the CAA level is planned for 2025," the statement states.

The CAA added that their representatives organized a workshop from February 4 to 6, in cooperation with EUROCONTROL through the Support to State program of this European organization.

"Numerous topics in the field of information security were presented, as well as exercises were carried out to precisely familiarize participants with regulatory requirements and their implementation. In addition to Agency employees and two EUROCONTROL experts, the workshop was attended by representatives of Air Traffic Control (SMATSA) and the National Computer Security Incident Response Center (CIRT). This event was also an opportunity to improve cooperation between participants at the national and international levels," the statement reads.
