Representatives of the informal student group "Kamo Śutra" and citizens blocked the street in front of the "Sergije Stanić" Secondary Vocational School in Podgorica tonight, in protest of unfulfilled demands following the tragedy in Cetinje.
At 17:26 p.m., the "23 minutes of noise" began in protest of unfulfilled demands following the tragedy in Cetinje.
Group representative Marko Vukčević said that the fourth blockade ended tonight and announced a new one for tomorrow.
"The location for tomorrow is the intersection on Svetog Petra Cetinjski Boulevard, near the Maksim building. I must mention that on Wednesday there were blockades in seven cities, for today we know that there were at least six, we are waiting to see if any other cities have joined the blockade," said Vukčević.
He thanked all citizens for organizing blockades in their cities and joining their demands.
"I sincerely hope that the Prime Minister and the Government will soon decide to adopt our demands, primarily to dismiss those whose dismissal we have demanded and to adopt demands regarding weapons and mental health, but also, of course, civic education in schools," said Vukčević.
As reported by Mediabiro, commenting on the silence of the institutions and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, the representative of the group "Kamo śutra" Anastasija Martinović said:
"They may need more time, but they need to be aware that we will not stop. They will hear us, they will hear us from the streets," she said.
The informal student group said that tomorrow's blockade will be the last this week, and that it will take place near the Maksim building.
Citizens have announced on their own initiative that blockades will be organized today in Cetinje, Bar, Kotor, Herceg Novi, and Nikšić as a sign of support for the students.
"Kamo Śutra" previously announced that they would block one road in Podgorica every day.
In the past three days, representatives of "Kamo Śutra" and citizens have blocked 13. jula Street, the roundabout at Kapital Plaza, and the bridge on Ribnica, above the Karver bookstore.
The Police Directorate previously announced that traffic closures can only be carried out by the police, with timely notification of the gathering, and called on organizers to report gatherings in accordance with the law for the safety of participants.
The "Kamo Śutra" group has repeatedly stated that they will not give up on protests and blockades until their demands for the dismissal of the Minister of Interior Danilo Šaranović and the Deputy Prime Minister for Security and Defense Aleksa Bečić are met.
Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, in response to the demands of the "Kamo Śutra" group, said that all members of the Government are subject to change, after an evaluation of their work and a detailed analysis of their performance.
After that, student representatives said that their demand was no longer for the resignations of Šaranović and Bečić, but for their dismissals.
On January 1, Cetinje resident Aco Martinović killed 12 people, including two children, and wounded four, one of whom died on January 9 at the Clinical Center.
