In the hall of the Information and Educational Center in Nikšić, the non-governmental organization "Alfa Center" held a creative writing workshop entitled "Words to Coexistence and Tolerance", which brought together ten children, members of the Roma-Egyptian (RE) community, aged 12 to 14. The workshop was led by Milica and Goran Radojičić, children's writers and members of the literary club "Poenta Poetika".

"During the workshop, they encouraged children to use creative writing to highlight the importance of tolerance, respect for diversity and overcoming differences between different ethnic groups, which should be treated as an asset to a society, and not as a basis for discrimination," Alfa Center announced.

The works of the workshop participants will be published in the publication "Words to Coexistence and Tolerance", which will be presented at a literary evening dedicated to the project within which the aforementioned workshop was held.

"During the literary evening, the authors of the works will have the opportunity to publicly present their works and share their thoughts on the importance of tolerance and coexistence among different ethnic groups. The publication will be printed bilingually, which will further promote the culture and diversity of the RE population. The project aims to contribute to raising awareness about the importance of coexistence among different ethnic groups, through education and creative activities that promote mutual respect and tolerance," the press release states.

The project "CREative Writing Workshop: Through Words to Coexistence and Tolerance" was financially supported by the Fund for the Protection and Exercise of Minority Rights of Montenegro, and the contribution to the implementation of the creative writing workshop was provided by the Elementary School "Mileva Lajović – Lalatović" and the Municipality of Nikšić.
