The Do Good Foundation will implement the project "Stop Violence, Choose Respect" in the next five months at the "Golubovci" Mixed Secondary School in Zeta and the "Petar I Petrović Njegoš" Gymnasium in Danilovgrad. At least 120 students, as well as ten teachers from these institutions, will be involved in the project.

The goal of the project is to reduce peer violence through the promotion of non-violent communication among young people.

"Prevention of peer violence in educational institutions and on the Internet is possible through improving non-violent communication skills through education on assertive communication and the concept of Stroke from the psychotherapy direction of transactional analysis. It is also important to encourage the proper use of the internet and social networks," the Foundation announced.

Special emphasis is placed on the development of emotional intelligence in young people, awareness of the importance of assertive behavior and the application of the concept Stroke, which helps them recognize, value, and constructively respond to the emotional needs of both their own and others, and to satisfy them in a healthy and functional way.

"During the workshops, students will adopt effective methods of resolving conflicts, recognize and break stereotypes, and offer modern responses to outdated patterns (male-female roles, diversity), learn how to recognize dangers in the online world and contribute to creating a safer digital environment, strengthen self-confidence and develop a sense of self-esteem," they add.

Six workshops will be held in each educational institution: "Recognize me, I recognize you", "I'm OK, you're OK", "No worries", "Spread further" and "Don't click violence, click respect", which will be led by Lidija Ivanović, Ivana Perović, Svetlana Jovetić Koprivica and Zorka Vojinović.

The project "Stop Violence, Choose Respect", implemented by the "Do Good" Foundation, is supported through the program "HEART: Supporting the Empowerment and Resilience of Youth Today", implemented by the Center for Civic Education (CCE) in partnership with the Regional Academy for the Development of Democracy (ADD). The project is funded by the European Union and co-financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.
